Khamisa Wilsher is a Vancouver-born vocalist, songwriter, and performer whose relationship with music has always been deeply personal. Rooted in a childhood where music was a place of understanding and emotional refuge, she grew up absorbing sounds across genres and eras, building the eclectic, soulful foundation that defines her artistry today.
Her voice found its first real stage in musical theatre, where she learned to channel storytelling through performance, a quality that remains at the core of everything she does.
After years of singing and songwriting as a passion, Khamisa found her footing as a professional artist when she joined Vancouver's premier event band, The Famous Players, where she has served as a lead vocalist for over seven years. Since then, she has grown into a dynamic solo artist, collaborating with local musicians and carving out her own sound rooted in soul, R&B, blues, and jazz.
With vocals that move effortlessly between warmth and power, softness and depth, Khamisa performs from the heart, a passionate storyteller who uses music to foster genuine connection between people and within themselves. She believes art is a vessel for deeper understanding, a way to explore through feeling and invite openness. Beyond the stage, Khamisa is also an actress, model, and wellness advocate who owns a yoga studio in Vancouver, where she continues her mission of supporting people through embodiment, healing, and community, because for Khamisa, whether through music or movement, it has always been about connection.
